All Reserve Fees are non-refundable. We do allow the adopter to transfer the reserve fee to another horse, available for adoption, so that the fee isn't a loss for the adopter.
However, in the event an adopter decides to not go through with an adoption of the equine reserved, and does not want to transfer the fee to another available and adoptable equine, we cannot issue a refund.
We make every effort to provide as much information as possible on each equine in our care. Please, understand that many times we do not know the full history of each equine.
Our main goal is to get the equine(s) healthy, and or as healthy as possible. We do not have the funds to do lengthy tests, such as but not limited to blood work, x-rays, etc.
We have a group of licensed veterinarians who provide the care, medications, etc., each equine is in need of per their individual examination and assessment. If an equine is in need of medical care, that will be provided to the equines in our care.
Main things our veterinarians and farriers check for and examine are body condition, any obvious medical issues, teeth, hooves, breathing, heart rate, and provide vaccinations as needed.
We no longer provide Coggins, some Equines may have UTD (up to date) Coggins, however we no longer have the veterinarians provide Coggins. We may have our Vets provide a Coggins for an added fee.
Because we are a 501C3 Non Profit all funds received are used for the care, feed, medical, farrier, and hay costs, and funds are used as they are received.
These Equines are rescues, some may have a poor body condition, or an underlying health issue. Please understand we do everything in our power to get every equine as healthy as possible. These Equines were either surrendered, rescued from kill pens, confiscated due to neglect, abuse, etc. We rarely adopt out an equine for more than $1200, based on what medical attention they needed and recieved.
As of March 25, 2022, We will no longer transport any equine(s) that have not been inspected by the adopter. This way there are no issues relating to expectations on equine(s) adopted and transported. Unfortunately, some adopters are looking for a top of the line equine for under $1000, and as a rescue, our main goal is to keep the equines from being slaughtered, abused, and neglected, and find them a forever loving and caring home.
We gladly allow interested adopters to schedule an appointment to meet and greet with the Equine(s) of their choice.
